Mark Berthon
Mark started his career at Healey & Baker in 1979 (now Cushman & Wakefield) where he stayed for 4 years. He then joined Styles and Whitlock in 1983 and became Partner in 1985. He managed a huge variety of properties for both landlords and tenants including various Oxford and Cambridge University Colleges; for example the urban portfolio outside Cambridge and Felixstowe for Trinity College, Cambridge and Christ Church, Oxford and retailers such as Russell and Bromley.
In 1992 he joined Donaldsons (now DTZ), shortly to be made a Partner, heading the Landlord and Tenant Department in London. He acted for a whole range of clients ranging from various Government Departments, such as The Department of Environment (DEFRA) and the Home Office to property companies such as Land Securities, Hammersons and Fordgate. He also acted for a number of private trust funds and retailers. He was on the list of Independent Expert Witnesses and had extensive experience with Arbitrations.
In 2004 he joined Reid Rose Gregory, a niche retail practice of Chartered Surveyors, as a Consultant dealing with Landlord and Tenant matters for a variety of Clients including Boots the Chemist, The Entertainer and Books etc. Before joining Vector in April 2007 he had a short spell as the Estates Manager of Fairgate Securities Limited.
